The location was not chosen randomly. In 1066 the Croatian King Petar Krešimir IV donated the vineyards to the Benedictine monastery of St.Mary in Zadar, which was led by its sister, a nun Čika. She, in turn, bought the first vineyards that still give a distinctive and smooth wines like Pošip, Plavca mali and Crljenak.
Tasting Dalmatian specialties and first class wines, the international guests met also a fraction of Croatian history. In cooperation with HRT, one of the episodes of the series "Croatian kings" was shown in the reeds of the vineyard (HTV).
