Plavac mali is the most important native Croatian red variety of wine, of exceptional potential. It was created by crossing the Crljenak and Dobričić varieties. These grapes grow on the rocky slopes in Punta Skala vineyards, which have a southern exposure, and which are exposed to the triple insolation of the sun, the sea and the stones.
